Huchuy Qosqo Trek + Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu
.Day 1 : Cusco - Patabamba - Huchuy Qosqo
We will begin the tour with an early morning pick up from your hotel, at 7:30am, to drive We start hiking from Patabamba (3,800 mts/12,464 ft). The day’s hike will start at this point, and will continue through Andean landscapes. We will hike along the Sacred Valley to the Siwas town, where we meet local people and wild crops, such as tarwi, and a large quantity of cactus. We continue on to the Pukamarca pass at 4,100 mts/13,448 ft, where we enjoy stunning views of the surrounding area and immense mountains: La Veronica, Pitusiray, Chicon snow peaks.
Continuing along the path, we will descend towards the beautiful, remote Andean pueblo Pukamarca at 4010m, where we stop and have a short break. Once back on the move, we will walk downhill to a mystical ancient path which will lead us to the Leon Punku.
We will be led into a very narrow corridor, between some immense rock walls, where we will discover Incan remains and various Incan bridges and sets of stairs (some of the best examples of Incan stairs anywhere in the world). This canyon is absolutely magical and boasts geological formations surrounded by majestic rocks and boulders that direct the river to Huchuy Qosqo at 3,600 mts/11,808 ft, where we will soon be arriving. Upon our arrival to the ruins in the evening, we will actually continue on past the ruins and to our accommodation for the night. We will have dinner and sleep in the typical home of a native of the area, just to the side of the Huchuy Qosqo ruins.

Day 2 : Huchuy Qosqo - Lamay - Ollantaytambo
Huchuy Qosqo is an Incan archaeological complex which is perched precariously on the side of a mountain with imposing architecture that includes a large open ceremonial center, from which we enjoy an amazing panoramic view of the Sacred Valley, the Vilcanota River, and the snow capped mountain range of the same name. While in the complex, we will receive a guided tour, after which we continue on our way down the mountain, to Lamay at 3,000 mts / 9,840 ft. Lamay is a town dedicated to agriculture and cattle raising. Later in the afternoon, our private transport drives us to Ollantaytambo, where we will stay over nigth.

Day 3 : Ollantaytambo - Km. 104 (Short Inca
Trail) - Machu Picchu - Aguas Calienttes
We will be picking you up from your hotel at 4:00am, from there we will travel by private transportation to Ollantaytambo (1 hour and 40 minutes). We will catch the 6:10am train to km 104 where we will begin our trek (1 hour and 20 minutes). Once we have arrived at 7:30am at the Point of Control, we must show our passports.
Before beggining our trek to Machu Picchu we will visit the Inca site Chachabamba (2,150m/7,052ft) which is a ceremonial place with ceremonial fountains, wayranas (shelters), and an Inca altar where supposedly the sacrification of llamas, alpacas and in extreme cases humans took place.
We continue our trek of an 8km uphill hike to the next Inca site; Winaywayna (2,650m/8,692ft). On our hike to this place we will observe the Valle del Urubamba, Rio Urubamba, Floras and Faunas, mountains covered with vegetation and to the East; The Veronica Glacier (5,875m/19,275ft).
Also, on our beautiful hike, we observe the Inca sites of Choquesuysuy and Intipata with farming terraces and small warehouses. Before we arrive at the Inca Complex Winaywayna, we will enjoy the site of a beautiful waterfall. Then, we will visit Winaywayna which is the last Spiritual resting place on the way to Machu Picchu. Furthermore, we walk the Inca trail towards Intipunku (1hour and 20 minutes). From this point we will have a very impressive site of Machu Picchu City.
From Intipunku we decend to Machu Picchu to take in the classic view of the city. To end our trek we will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes; where we will have dinner and spend the night at a hotel.

Day 4 : Machu Picchu “Sacred City” – Cusco
On this day it is a very early wake up call at 4:30am. Breakfast will be served at the hotel before we take the bus to Machu Picchu City at 5:30am (25 minute bus ride). Before we begin the guided tour of the City, you will have a chance to take the classic picture of Machu Picchu. The guided tour of the city will take about 2 or 3 hours..
Your tour of Machupicchu should finish between 9 and 9:30am then you have free time to take your photos before the 10:30 crowds arrive. You will also have the opportunity to climb Huayna Picchu Mt. or Machu Picchu Mt. (please make your reservation or book it,because there is a limit : 400 people per day (minimum 90 mins), Inca bridge or Sun´s gate. After Machu Picchu ciy , the meeting point is Aguas Calientes, your Tour Guide is going to reccomend you a nice restaurant.
