About Us

PERU ADVENTURE PEOPLE is a local tour company consisting solely of Cusqueñians. We are local people, and we know this land. We have over 20 years of experience leading treks in the Andes, higher education degrees, and extensive knowledge regarding the great Incan empire. Our team has a special mission to improve the community we live in (for more information, please visit link titled "Community Support"). Additionally, our company is dedicated to preserving these lands and protecting the environment.

PERU ADVENTURE PEOPLE offers "contact tourism" with local inhabitants (farmers, shepherds, etc.) who work with us as porters. These porters live life as they have for hundreds of years, speaking Quechua (the indigenous language of the Incas) and maintaining ancient practices of our people. Our porters and cooks come from the mountains and surrounding valleys.

PERU ADVENTURE PEOPLE looks forward to guiding you, as well as your family and friends. Join us for in-depth tours through the beautiful mountain range of the Andes. See the most extraordinary examples of the accomplishments of our ancestors, the Incas. We look forward to your visit!

MEET THE TEAM: PERU ADVENTURE PEOPLE

Peru Adventure People staff are true professionals dedicated to making your trip an unforgettable experience. From your first contact with our office staff, to our final private transportation back to Cusco, our team goal is to make your stay with us as comfortable and as memorable as possible. We love what we do, we love where we live, and we love to share our respect for the beautiful places we show you.

OUR GUIDES: We are fully conscious that an excellent guide is key to making your trip an unforgettable experience. Our team is composed of some of the best guides in the region, all officially licensed and equipt with degrees in Tourism. The superiority of our team is backed both by excellent tourist reports, which are available at our office in Cusco, and years of experience. All our guides are fluent in English, but we also have guides proficient in French, Italian, German and Japanese. Our team members are trained in first-aid, search and rescue, and regularly participate in seminars for the latest updates within their respective fields.

OUR COOKS: The cook is responsible for ensuring high quality meals and managing the team of porters. An adequate diet both in its quality and quantity is essential in calorie-burning trips such as the adventure programs we run. Peru Adventure People has become renowned for its outstanding menus and food quality. The secret lies in the careful selection of our team of cooks, whose top-quality restaurant background provides an unequalled touch to all our meals. We do not have set menus, because our cooks are essentially creative people who try to innovate and surprise our clients through delicious dishes in every trip.

OUR PORTERS AND HORSEMEN: The porters transport all equipment for the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. In all other treks, wranglers are in charge of horses/mules that carry equipment. Porters depart earlier than the group to ensure ideal campsite location, and they prepare the campsite for our arrival. Porters carry up to 20 kg (approx. 44 lbs) of equipment, according to Inca Trail regulations.

Peru Adventure People is locally respected for providing the best treatment to our porters. Our porters are not just employees, they are friends. We provide our entire team, including porters, with excellent meals, convenient accommodation, life insurance, and the high-earning wages they deserve. You will be able to perceive the difference between our team and others: our people are happy, enthusiastic, and always helpful.

We are locals working together with indigenous people, to share with you the Land of the Incas!
